You only need 4 ingredients to make this comforting soup, and 3 of them are in the name of the recipe. Our Ham, Leek and Potato Soup has got to be one of the easiest dishes to rustle up on a wintery day, and the end result is so satisfying.
This is a slow cooker recipe, so it’s all about convenience. Chuck all the ingredients in together and leave them to simmer for 4 hours to get all gorgeous, with melt-in-the-mouth ham and soft, tender veggies.

We love to cheat and use a ready chopped casserole medley as the base for this recipe, although you can peel and chop your own if you’ve got spare veg that needs using up. Simmered on the hob or left to bubble in the slow cooker, the salty flavour of the gammon and the smoky spices mingle together until you’ve got a pot full of unmissable, savoury flavour.
Greek Style Lemon Chicken and Rice Soup
Another great recipe for any hungry soup fans, this Greek Style Lemon Chicken and Rice Soup is so satisfying. Each bowlful of tender chicken broth is loaded up with soft rice and silky eggs for added protein. Even if you serve it for lunch without a bread roll, you’ll be feeling full all the way through to dinnertime.
