Malfy gin con rosa
Best Italian pink gin
The pink grapefruit Rosa is Malfy’s fourth gin offering, joining the original, lemon and orange varieties. The nose is full of grapefruit, but this gin stands apart from other pink grapefruit offerings for its rhubarb edge, complementing the citrus. When mixed with tonic for a bright G&T, the flavours are drawn out even more, along with the herbal juniper finish.
Whitley Neill rhubarb and ginger gin
Best sweet pink gin
Whitley Neill’s colourful bottles are a familiar sight on supermarket shelves. This gin itself is not pink in colour but still full of flavour. Sweet rhubarb with a slight edge of juicy orange and ginger warmth are prominent on the nose, whilst the palate is best mixed with tonic for a fruity G&T that lets the flavours shine and balances out the sweetness.
Tanqueray flor de Sevilla
Best overall orange gin
The resounding winner in our taste test of the best citrus gins, this scored top marks from us. It contains just four key botanicals, meaning that the priority notes of vibrant orange and a touch of pine shine through clearly.
Chase pink grapefruit and pomelo gin
Best pink grapefruit gin
Chase is well known for both its classic gin and wide range of flavoured options. This pink grapefruit and pomelo option has a pretty soft pink hue and plenty of zesty pink grapefruit on the nose. The spirit is smooth, creamy and on the palate mellows the tart fruit into bright citrus aromas for a gin impressively packed with flavour.
Malfy gin con arancia
Best flavoured gin
Another brilliant Malfy deal on a bottle that makes a brilliant gift and cheery addition to a bar cart. This orange gin is made with a mixture of Italian oranges and Sicilian blood oranges – perfect for a zesty spritz.
Whitley Neill raspberry gin
Best raspberry gin
The raspberry gin is our top Whitley Neill pick. Made with Scottish raspberries and balanced with punchy juniper, liquorice and coriander, this is a versatile and vibrant flavoured gin. It’s not just us who like it either: this won the silver award at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2020 and 2021.

Bombay Sapphire Star of Bombay gin
Best gin for a spin on tradition
A small batch offering from iconic Bombay Sapphire, this spin-off still has the classic blue bottle but offers something new. It is slow-distilled and uses bergamot as one of it’s botanicals to offer floral, citrussy notes on the palate. A great new classic gin to try.
Sipsmith orange gin
Best orange gin
Based on a classic London dry gin, this bottle lives up to its ‘zesty’ title. A combination of fresh and dried orange peel alongside fragrant bergamot zest makes for a gin that bursts with citrus flavour. It would be great in cocktails or stick to a gin and tonic with a slice of fresh orange to garnish.
Edinburgh Gin rhubarb & ginger gin
Best rhubarb and ginger gin
Originally developed by Edinburgh Gin as a gin liqueur, this flavour combination proved so popular, it was launched as a full-strength gin, too. Fiery ginger gives the rhubarb a boost, and the 14 botanicals make it complex enough to drink on its own.
Brewdog peach and passion fruit gin
Best peach gin
Thought Brewdog was all about beer? Think again! Brewdog’s labour of love producing this gin (testing 29 junipers before choosing the final one) shows in the tropical, fruity result. The juicy white peach notes come through strongly on the nose and the palate, balanced by aromatic passion fruit and a touch of yuzu for sharpness. For sustainability points, it is also produced in Scotland’s first carbon negative distillery.
Bathtub Gin
Best gift for a gin novice
Bathtub Gin, in it’s unique old-fashioned paper wrapping, is a delicate yet balanced gin that is perfect for the beginner. It is made using the traditional method of ‘compounding’ (aka infusing) the neutral base spirit with the botanicals until the flavour gradually develops.
Death’s Door Gin
Best back to basics gin
This American gin stands out for its simplicity. London Dry in style but without the bitterness, it uses just three botanicals (juniper, coriander and fennel) to achieve an earthy, well-balanced gin.
Tanqueray rangpur lime gin
Best unusual citrus gin
If you love citrussy gins but are looking to try something new, this is your answer. Rangpur limes are in fact not limes, but a mandarin-citron hybrid. The juice is sour but smells very sweet, resulting in a complex gin with a hint of orange flavour.
Malfy gin con limone
Best lemon gin
Another great Malfy gin deal. This combines classic botanicals with an intense infusion of zesty lemon, sourced from the Amalfi coast and Sicily. Intensely refreshing and citrus-forward, this is perfect served with lots of ice and tonic.
Gordon’s tropical passion fruit gin
Best passion fruit gin
Bring a taste of sunshine to cocktail hour with this tropical gin. The passion fruit aroma is subtle on the nose, but the flavour comes through more strongly on the palate. It is balanced and not too sweet – a versatile option for cocktails.
Beefeater London Dry gin
Best classic gin
Nothing beats a classic gin, and Beefeater is undeniably that. Crafted in central London and still produced using traditional copper stills, it’s brilliant value and a staple to have on hand for simple G&Ts.
Bombay citron pressé
Best lemon gin
The newest launch from Bombay, this citron pressé gin is made using handpicked lemons and no added sugar, for a tart and refreshing result that is a great entry into the world of flavoured gins. The pretty bottle makes it great for gifting, too.
Jawbox rhubarb and ginger gin liqueur
Best pink gin liqueur
An award-winning Irish liqueur, this sweet option is only 20% ABV. As a liqueur, it is suited to drinking neat. It is very heavy with tangy rhubarb on the nose, with the ginger following far more subtly after the boiled sweet-style richness. It works well with tonic, although a drier one is recommended to stop that sweetness becoming overwhelming. If drinking long, a small splash of soda gives the rhubarb and ginger space to shine.
Whitley Neill pink grapefruit gin
Best affordable pink gin
For a straightforward pink gin to keep handy in the cupboard ready for a pink G&T, you can’t go wrong with a bottle of Whitley Neill pink grapefruit gin. The colourful bottles are easy to spot on the supermarket shelves and display on a bar cart as you build a collection. Infused with Iberian pink grapefruit, there is also a triple boost of citrus burst given a from the inclusion of sweet orange, lemon peel and lime within the aromatics, for tart and refreshing results.
Cotswolds Distillery No1 wildflower gin
Best floral pink gin
Infused with floral botanicals rather than berries, this unique pink gin has essences of cornflowers, lavender, orange and rhubarb root blended into it, for a complex gin with a deep pink hue. It has a touch of sugar syrup added for sweetness, but is still not overpowering, as this is balanced by all those floral, fresh notes.
That Boutique-y Gin Company Proper Pink Gin
Best old-fashioned pink gin
Pink gins originated from the use of Angostura bitters and this offering from the quirky Boutique-y Gin Company still takes that element seriously, vacuum-distilling the bitters. The nose is citrussy whilst the gin itself is complex, herbal and aromatic when sipped neat with an almost spicy finish.
When is Cyber Monday?
Black Friday 2022 fell on Friday 25 November 2022 and Cyber Monday marks the end of Black Friday weekend, today 28th November. Though, we’ve been spotting savings and discounts of our tried and tested gins from around mid November. Cyber Monday is the final chance to spot deals and pick up a saving before sales end.
What is Cyber Monday?
Black Friday originated in America, falling the day after Thanksgiving – the American equivalent of the Boxing Day sales, if you will. It’s a large sales event that has now spread across the pond, with a huge variety of shops and retailers using this as a moment to offer discounts on a wide range of products across homewares, tech, alcohol and more. Cyber Monday is the Monday after Black Friday, marking a day of sales online.
What were some of the best deals from Black Friday and Cyber Monday last year?
Last year we scoured the internet to find the best deals on some of our top rated kitchenware and appliances including white goods such as dishwashers and fridge freezers, some of which had hundreds of pounds off the usual prices. Stand mixers, coffee machines and food processors also saw good deals. This year we expect to find retailers competing to offer the best price for energy-saving appliances such as slow cookers and air fryers too.
How to find gin deals online all year round
With this booming market comes competitive pricing. Smaller, craft brands are stocked nationwide and bottles can often be purchased at cut-price during sale periods. Black Friday is a great time to get a deal, but doesn’t have to be the only time you buy.

While it might be tempting to go for the gin with the best price (especially when buying for parties and events) quality and flavour are of paramount importance.
Our reviewers have highly rated leading brands like Tanqueray, Warner Edwards, Malfy and Chase, all of which are commonly found in supermarkets and online sold via leading drinks websites. Brands like this will often be stocked in multiple retailers, meaning prices can significantly vary.
Our review of classic gin features heritage brands that are usually sold in supermarkets, including Beefeater, Martin Miller, Plymouth and Sipsmith. Before shopping online or picking it up from the booze aisle at your regular retailer of choice, scour the web using shopping tools to make sure you’re not missing out on a bargain price elsewhere.
